The 17th World Korean Business Convention kicked off at Songdo Convensia in Incheon on Tuesday. The thee-day event was co-organized by Maeil Business Newspaper and MBN, Overseas Koreans Foundation and Incheon Metropolitan City.
This year’s convention attracted 3,500 people including 1,000 ethnic Korean entrepreneurs from 60 countries around the world and 2,500 Korean business leaders, the largest turnout it has ever had.
In a congratulatory message to the event, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said he has met many ethnic Korean business leaders who made success stories overseas and their achievements are encouraging and motivating many Korean entrepreneurs and young people.
On the second day of the program on Wednesday, Hansang Leadership Conference was held where Chang Byung-gyu, head of the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Koo Il-hoe, head of Las Tacuaras in Paraguay made a speech. Various programs including Hansang Business Seminar, Hansang Business and 1:1 Business Meetings will take place until Thursday.
