Our Home launches food service brand targeting preschools

South Korea’s foodservice and catering provider Our Home Ltd. has launched a food brand dedicated to supplying fresh ingredients to preschools in the country amid bourgeoning demand for businesses catering to the needs of children.

According to Our Home on Tuesday, it has launched Our Kids, a premium business-to-business brand that provides food service to nursery facilities such as daycare centers and kindergartens for preschoolers aged between three and seven.

Our Kids will provide 150 different types of fresh ingredients including meat and fish that use non-antibiotic first-grade hanwoo or Korean beef, as well as pork, chicken, and eggs that have been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for animal welfare. Seafood used by the brand is also traceable from catch to storage, retail, and processing and agricultural products support environmentally-friendly farming.

Our Home’s move to launch the new food service targeting preschoolers comes amid the country’s rapidly growing infant-related market. The market is estimated to grow by more than 20 percent annually.

Our Kids plans to develop food products in small quantity given that overall scale of nursery facilities is smaller compared to other institutions such as big corporates. The brand will provide less-sought dried fish in a zipper bag to nursery facilities to maximize hygiene quality. It will also provide filleted fish as preschoolers find it hard to bone fish.
