Yanolja, Korea`s largest online to offline (O2O) accommodations service provider, announced on Wednesday it has formed an exclusive partnership with Japan’s Rakutenn on travel and entertainment information in the vicinity of hotels and lodging facilities.
In the R.E.S.T. (Refresh, Entertain, Stay, Travel) platform, Yanolja will provide low-budget travel options on top of information to Koreans and Japanese. Korean accommodation businesses associated with Yanolja will be able to attract Japanese travelers through Rakuten’s platform. In addition, Rakuten will provide Yanolja with exclusive access to its accommodation sharing service to be launched in June in Japan.
Rakuten is the largest online travel agency in Japan with 100 trillion won in transactions and 95 million members.
Yanolja also released new hotel chain brand ‘heyy’ that targets regional tourists.
Yanolja said it will collaborate with a variety of overseas businesses to expand diverse travel services beyond accommodations globally.
