U.S President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on Tuesday signed a "historic" and “comprehensive” document designed to bring sea changes in the Korean Peninsula and the world after a five-hour summit at the Sentosa Island in Singapore.

While saving the details of the so-called landmark deal that Trump claimed will “impress the world” for a separate briefing, the two signed the paper in front of the press after a rare joint remark where Trump translated for Kim.

“We decided to put the past behind, and the world will see a major change,” Kim said whose remark was echoed by Trump in English.

Trump who last year mocked Kim as “little rocket man” referred to him as “a very talented man” after meeting him in person and said “we are starting the process quickly, very quickly” when asked about the denuclearization outline.

Both praised one another and the working teams on both sides for materializing the first-ever meeting between the two heads of state who only last year exchanged war talks and for helping the talks end in “tremendous success” and in “results better than anybody had expected.”

The signing came after a working lunch following a 45-minute one-on-one talk between the two heads and an expanded meeting with foreign and security advisers from both sides.

Trump added that there were going to be many more meetings between the two and added “Oh yes,” when a reporter asked if he was willing to invite Kim to the White House.
