The Ritz-Carlton Seoul that marked the 21st anniversary of its foundation last month will be closed for renovation for six months starting January next year.
According to the hotel industry Tuesday, the 5-star hotel will undergo comprehensive remodeling to accommodate more guests with newer facilities. Last year, the hotel was given the green light from the urban planning bureau at the Seoul Metropolitan Government for its plan to rebuild the hotel establishment with 22 stories above ground with total 591 rooms.
Located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, one of the most expensive areas in Seoul, the hotel has served guests since 1995 with about 370 rooms and other complementary facilities.
