Industrial Bank of Korea test runs advanced biometric technology

For the first time among South Korean banks, state-run Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) takes an initiative to apply the iris recognition technology to the automated teller machine (ATM) that allows financial transactions without bank cards or passbooks once a client registers biometric information with the bank. IBK Chairwoman and CEO Kwon Seon-joo withdraws cash from the ATM with an iris recognition system.
