U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to include South Korea during his first visit to Asia in November amid escalating regional tensions from North Korea’s nuclear and missile tests.

Trump is said to be mulling visiting China in November around the timing of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit conference on Nov. 10-11 in Vietnam and could make a stop in Seoul, sources said.

Details could be discussed when President Moon Jae-in meets Trump in the UN General Assembly in New York next week. Working-level talks are ongoing to arrange a summit talks among leaders of Seoul, Washington, and Tokyo on the sidelines of the UN assembly, given the urgency of developments around North Korea.

The UN Security Council on Monday unanimously adopted its toughest-yet resolution on North Korea that included oil and petroleum supply cut and ban on textile trade following recent sixth nuclear test.
