South Korea¡¯s medium-sized tech company Foryou Digital Co. has successfully made forays into the European market with its Windows-based tablets.

The company announced on Monday that it signed a 5 billion won ($4.4 million) contract with French electronics company Thomson Multimedia S.A and a 10 billion won contract with another French company Mpman to supply its products this year. The company also concluded deals with Canadian and Russian companies, while inking a contract worth 2 billion won with Lotte Himart Co. at home.

¡°Since we were selected as a device partner of Microsoft in 2013, it has been easier for us to work together with large retail companies,¡± said Foryou Digital CEO Karl Choi.

Starting as an MP3 manufacturer in 2001, Foryou Digital successfully transformed into a Android-based tablet producer in 2011 and turned its eyes to the Windows-based tablet market in 2013.

Thanks to cooperation with Microsoft, sales of Windows-based tablets account for 60 percent of total tablet sales of Foryou Digital. The company has sold tablets under its own brand iMuz.
